Vancouver Canucks come back from 2 goals down and defeat Anaheim Ducks in shootout
The Vancouver Canucks have defeated the Anahemm Ducks 5-4 in a shootout. Alex Burrows scored 2 goals and Dan Hamhuis and Henrik Sedin got 2 assists. Chris Higgins and Maxim Lapierre also scored for the Canucks. For the Ducks, Bobby Ryan had 3 assists and Corey Perry and Devante Smith-Pelly had a goal and an assist. Ryan Getzlaf and Rod Pelly scored had a goal each.Burrows, Alex Edler and Lapierre all scored for the Canucks in the shootout while Teemu Selanne scored the only Ducks goal in the shootout. Roberto Luongo allowed 4 goals on 15 shots and was pulled around the midway through the 2nd period. Cory Schneider would relieve him and would make all 9 saves that he faced. Jonas Hiller made 35 saves on 39 shots. The Ducks have lost 3 straight while the Canucks have now won 7 straight. The Canucks will travel to Calgary to take on the Flames on Thursday night.
