HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO FORMER PITTSBURGH PENGUINS GOALIE
(he turns 38 this date)
Patrick Lalime was picked in the sixth round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins (156th overall). Although he had been called-up and served as the back-up goalie for several games after being drafted, Lalime didn’t make his NHL debut until his third season on November 16, 1996 replacing Ken Wregget mid-way through a game against the New York Rangers.
Lalime retired back in 2011 and joined the RDS network to cover the Ottawa Senators.
