Gilles Meloche!!
(he turned 60 on this date)

Prior to Meloche becoming the current Pittsburgh Penguins goalie coach, he was drafted 70th by the Chicago Blackhawks and played for five teams including the Penguins (Chicago Blackhawks, Minnesota North Stars, California Golden Seals / California Seals, Cleveland Barons).  He retired from playing in 1988; went on to become a scout for the Penguins, and was part of Pittsburgh’s coaching staff for all three Stanley Cups in 1991, 1992, and 2009.

Meloche’s son, Eric, is a professional ice hockey player who also played for the Pittsburgh Penguins organization from 2000-2004.
