Noah Welch is an American-born hockey player who was born in Brighton, Massachusetts was drafted in the second round (54th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Welch’s hockey career began in high school for St. Sebastian’s School prior to playing on the collegiate level for Harvard University, where he served at team captain.
In 2011, he traveled overseas to play in the Swedish Elite League–Elitserien (SEL) and signed a one-year contract with the Swedish team HV71. After signing another one-year contract this past May, he will play the 2012-13 season for the Växjö Lakers.
