Pittsburgh’s Kevin LaVallee scored three times on New Jersey goalie, Alain Chevrier, recording his first hat trick
LaVallee played eight seasons (and a total of 398 games) in the NHL and played his final season with the Penguins in 1986-87. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames 32nd overall in 1980 and also played for the Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues.
