Boston Bruins history for November 7:

1936: The 1936-37 season begins with a game against the Montreal Canadiens. The game ends in a 2-0 Canadiens win.

1943: The Bruins are dealt their first loss of the season when the Red Wings beat them 6-4.

1945: In their second win of the season, the Bruins win 5-3 over Toronto.

1948: Against the Red Wings, the Bruins lose 7-3.

1953: In Montreal, the Bruins take a 5-2 loss to the Canadiens.

1954: The Canadiens deal the Bruins a 4-3 loss.

1956: By winning 4-2 over the Rangers, the Bruins take both halves of a half-and-half and extend their win streak to three.

1957: The Bruins lose 5-3 to the Maple Leafs.

1962: In Chicago, the Bruins and Black Hawks play to a 3-3 tie.

1963: The Maple Leafs win 4-3 over the Bruins.

1965: The Bruins drop the second half of a home-and-home with Montreal 5-2.

1970: The Penguins and Bruins tie it at two.

1971: The Bruins lose 3-2 to Montreal.

1973: Against the Rangers, the Bruins lose 7-3.

1974: Just four days after putting up 10 goals against Minnesota, Boston does it again, beating the Capitals 10-4.

1976: The Bruins win 3-1 over the Canucks.

1981: Against the Quebec Nordiques, the Bruins pull out a huge 10-1 win.

1982: The most decisive win of the season to date comes as the Bruins shut the Red Wings out 7-0.

1985: The Hartford Whalers lose 2-1 to Boston.

1987: The Bruins get a 4-1 win against the Penguins.

1990: On a visit to Montreal, the Bruins shut the Habs out 2-0.

1991: The Calgary Flames come to town and tie it at four with the Bruins.

1992: The Bruins and Rangers tie at two apiece.

1993: In Buffalo, the Bruins win 4-3.

1995: Visiting Washington brings the Bruins a 4-3 win.

1996: The Oilers shut the Bruins out 6-0.

1998: A visit to Pittsburgh ends without anyone doing anything–the game ends tied at zero.

2002: In Detroit, the Bruins lose 2-1 in overtime.

2007: The Sabres beat the Bruins 2-1 in overtime. Marc Savard has the lone goal for Boston.

2009: Mark Recchi, Zdeno Chara, Byron Bitz and Marco Sturm score as the Bruins beat the Sabres 4-2.

2011: The Bruins extend their win streak to three by beating the Islanders 6-2. Nathan Horton scores twice while Benoit Pouliot, Tyler Seguin, Milan Lucic and David Krejci each put away one of their own. Tuukka Rask earns his first win of the season. Chris Kelly plays his 500th NHL game and Patrice Bergeron extends his point streak to seven games.
