Boston Bruins history for November 21:

1931: Against the Montreal Canadiens, the Bruins are shut out 3-0.

1933: The Bruins shut out the Chicago Black Hawks 2-0.

1936: The Bruins go to Toronto and beat the Maple Leafs 4-3.

1937: Facing Chicago, the Bruins win 2-1.

1940: In Chicago, the Bruins take a 2-0 win away with them.

1943: A visit to Montreal is not at all a good experience for the Bruins as they lose by a 13-4 margin. Yes, 13.

1944: The Habs deal the Bruins a loss, but a much less open one this time–4-1.

1945: This time, the Bruins shut out the Habs 3-0.

1948: Against the Rangers, the Bruins lose 4-1.

1951: Visiting New York brings a 3-3 tie this time.

1954: The Bruins shut out the Habs again, this time by a 2-0 margin.

1959: The Bruins and Red Wings tie at three apiece.

1962: Mired in a losing streak, Boston keeps that going when they lose 4-2 at the Rangers.

1964: The Red Wings beat the Bruins 3-1.

1965: Facing Montreal, the Bruins win 3-2.

1968: The Bruins win 4-1 over the Los Angeles Kings.

1969: The Bruins tie 2-2 with Chicago.

1970: On a visit to Philadelphia, the Bruins take a 5-2 win.

1971: A 6-2 win over St. Louis keeps a Bruins win streak alive and extends it to five.

1974: Another win streak remains alive when the Bruins beat the old California Golden Seals 4-2.

1976: Yet another win streak survives another day as the Bruins beat the Red Wings 4-2.

1981: A visit to Toronto brings the Bruins a 5-3 win.

1982: The Bruins beat the Calgary Flames 2-1.

1984: In Philadelphia to finish off a home-and-home, the Bruins lose 4-3 and therefore lose both halves of the series.

1985: The Islanders and Bruins tie at four.

1987: A 7-5 win over the old Minnesota North Stars keeps a Bruins win streak going at six.

1989: A win of 2-1 over Detroit also keeps a win streak going, this time at six as well.

1992: The Bruins beat the Flyers 4-3.

1995: Against the old Winnipeg Jets, the Bruins take a 5-4 win.

1998: The Bruins defeat the Washington Capitals 5-4 in overtime.

2000: In Ottawa, the Bruins lose 2-1.

2002: The Bruins beat the Hurricanes 3-1.

2008: Phil Kessel, David Krejci, Marc Savard and Patrice Bergeron put up goals to get the Bruins a 4-2 win over Florida.

2011: In a closely-fought 1-0 game with the Canadiens, the Bruins extend their winning streak to nine games. Andrew Ference has the only goal.
