Vancouver Canucks Looking For Revenge Against Los Angeles Kings

Let’s be honest–nobody could have predicted the Los Angeles Kings to accomplish what they did last season on their way to winning the Stanley Cup as the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference. While it’s still early to determine how well the Kings will perform over the course of the 2013 season, it’s safe to say Monday’s game against the Vancouver Canucks will be extra special for at least one of the two teams–mainly because of revenge.

Expectations were high for the Canucks entering the playoffs last year as they were hoping to take advantage of having home-ice advantage throughout the playoffs on their way to hopefully the Stanley Cup, but those dreams were quickly shattered when Los Angeles pulled off the shocking upset in the first round.

It may be a different season, but there’s no question the Canucks will be out for revenge when these two teams square off on Monday night.

Even though it’s still early in the season, Vancouver is off to a 2-2-1 start and a win over Los Angeles would be just what the doctor ordered to make sure things stay positive for this shortened 2013 season. Monday’s game may not be as meaningful since it’s not even close to a playoff game, but there’s nothing the Canucks would love more than to beat the Kings on Monday just to feel a little bit better about the way things ended last year.

Hopefully, the Canucks manage to come through in this one.
