Nashville Predators Continue Trend With Offensive Struggles

Don McPeak-USA TODAY Sports

The Nashville Predators ran into another one of their constant problems on Friday during a 1-0 loss.

It was yet another night where Nashville couldn’t score any goals, and made their goalkeeper try to make every save just so the team could force overtime in a scoreless game. There is no reason for this team to still have trouble scoring, especially 18 games into the 2013 NHL season.

If Pekka Rinne were to ever go down and be out for a number of weeks, the Predators would be in very big trouble because their season depends a ton on what Rinne keeps doing. Nashville is still the worst in the NHL in scoring, while being the third-best team in scoring defense.

This is a good team and there is no reason why the team can’t put more pucks in the net. The only player who has done anything worthwhile is Colin Wilson with 14 points on the year.

It has become very apparent that Wilson and Rinne are the two stars of this Nashville team, and must keep producing for the Predators to make the playoffs. There is no other players who are doing anything worthwhile right now in Nashville, so until someone else steps up and begins helping Wilson out on the scoring end, this is how the season is going to go for the Predators.
