Joffrey Lupul of the Toronto Maple Leafs shines against Florida Panthers
Often times after the after the Toronto Maple Leafs secure a victory, as reporters we wonder about how many points or goals did Nazem Kadri have in the game? Lately it seems like the 22 year old Kadri has been making headlines in Toronto for shooting and scoring. There is no doubting the talent of Kadri. Lupul’s God given ability to score goals lifted Toronto past the Panthers Tuesday night. No. 19 scored a goal in the second period and he also scored the game winner in the third. Sportsnet’s hockey panel questioned what impact Lupul would have after he came back from a broken arm. The injury that saw him miss 27 days, the injury occurred in a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins back on January 23 of this year.
Lupul was in the way of a Dion Phanuef shot. The arm injury for the blue and white assistant captain doesn’t seem to be a factor. If Lupul can continue to be healthy for the remainder of the season, it can only mean good things for the Maple Leafs.
