NHL Pre-Game Notes: Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Ottawa Senators (Game 3)

Tonight’s Round 2, Game 2 of the 2013 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Ottawa Senators will be televised on RDS, CBC and NBC Sports Network. Face off is set for 7:30pm (est) at Scotiabank Place.

The Penguins are looking to be up in the series three games to none being one game closer to a sweep.  Tanner Glass will be in the lineup in place of Joe Vitale who is said to be hurt and Mark Eaton will be playing in place of Deryk Engelland.

Bylsma told the media at the start of the playoffs that discussion of lines was off limits, so the projected line combinations are based on this morning’s skate, as usual:

FORWARDS: Pascal DupuisSidney CrosbyChris Kunitz, Jarome Iginla-Evgeni Malkin-James Neal, Brenden MorrowBrandon SutterMatt Cooke, Craig Adams-Tanner Glass-Tyler Kennedy, Tanner Glass-Jussi Jokinen-Beau Bennett (Dustin Jeffrey); DEFENSEMEN: Brooks OrpikPaul Martin, Kris Letang-Matt Niskanen, Douglas Murray-Mark Eaton, Simon Despres-Robert Bortuzzo.

Power play Unit 1: Martin, Iginla, Crosby, Malkin, Kunitz;
Power play Unit 2: Niskanen, Dupuis, Kennedy, Neal, Morrow.

The starting goalie in net for the Penguins tonight is Vokoun.

Jason Spezza will return to the Senators lineup tonight against the Penguins after missing the majority of the regular season.

The projected starting goalie in net tonight for the Senators is Craig Anderson.
