There are many talented players on the San Jose Sharks roster, but centerman Logan Couture is quietly emerging as one of the brighter stars of the Sharks.
A prime example of the leader he is developing into happened this past Saturday during Game 3 against the Los Angeles Kings when he returned to the ice and scored the game-winning goal in overtime after skating off the ice from a minor injury he suffered early in the second period. The return was a message from Couture to his team that he was not going to let anything keep him down and appeared to give his team the spark they needed to win the game and get back into the series.
So far this post-season, Couture has put up some impressive numbers in the seven games he has played. He is currently 4th in the league with 10 points (4G, 6A) scoring all four goals on power plays, which ranks him 1st in the league for power play goals. He also has scored two game-winning goals placing him 2nd in the league. His regular-season numbers are just as remarkable with 37 points (21G, 16A) in the 48 games he has played.
San Jose had two days to prepare for tonight’s Game 4 when they look to tie the series against the Kings at two games apiece.
