Washington Capitals’ Mike Green Launches New Website
Washington Capitals defenseman Mike Green is known for more than just his defensive skills (well, maybe not after this season). He is also known for his participation in social media such as Twitter (@greenlife52) and for having his own official website (previously GreenLife52, which is now owned by some “green” company selling leather goods who I would assume is benefitting from Green’s unsuspecting fans).
Earlier tonight, Green launched his new and improved official website, mikegreen52.com, announcing it via his Twitter account:
I believe this new site came about because of the fact that his previous site was cyber-squatted especially with the new link. The new site is pretty cool and still includes a store, as did the site before, for fans to purchase signed merchandise and also includes links to his personal Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts.
Green is not the only Washington player who has his own official websites. Others include Nicklas Backstrom (nicklasbackstrom.com), Brooks Laich (brookslaich.com) and, captain, Alexander Ovechkin (ovie8.com).
