The New York Rangers are looking for their young players to step up with Rick Nash and Ryan Callahan out of the lineup. Chris Kredier has shown he is ready to go. Now it is time for J.T. Miller to break out.
Miller doesn’t have all the physical attributes that Kreider has, but his hockey IQ is off the charts. He is playing on a line with Brian Boyle and Derick Brassard right now and he fits in perfectly with them. Miller is good defensively and likes to get to the dirty areas on the ice. Playing with a gifted playmaker like Brassard means sooner or later he is going to start getting good scoring chances.
Last night against the New York Islanders, Miller had a couple of real good opportunities to score, but could not finish. Eventually his chances are going to find the back of the net. He is too gifted of a player to not score. With Kreider breaking out and playing so well, you have to believe that Miller will be the next person analysts begin to scrutinize. Miller is a kid who has tough skin and will be ready to answer those critics. I believe he will have a huge game on Thursday night when the Rangers take on the Buffalo Sabres.
Miller is going to get his game going and he will start producing. Thursday night I expect him to have his best game of the season and finally record his first goal of this year.
