Recent Losses Will Benefit Dallas Stars Going Forward

Despite the fact that the Dallas Stars have dropped two consecutive games, they shouldn’t panic about their performance.

The Stars lost their contest against the St. Louis Blues by an expressive 6-1 score and despite the fact that they got their second straight defeat after losing to the New York Rangers on Friday, the team shouldn’t be worried based on what has happened on the ice.

For one thing, it’s always good for a young team to experience failure and to lose a few games. The best way to improve is to get the needed experience to overcome difficulties and if the Stars are able to get to the playoffs, they will face some tough games during the final stretch of the season.

The team is also creating a lot of chances, so it’s pretty clear they’re just on a bad streak that should end sooner rather than later. Despite scoring only three goals and allowing nine in their last two games, the Stars have been able to create some good scoring opportunities — even if they’ve had trouble putting the puck in the net.

The Stars had 35 shots yesterday against the Blues, and a season-high 43 in their loss against the Rangers. As long as the guys can maintain the offensive intensity and create chances, it will only be a matter of time before the likes of Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin can continue their blistering start to the season.

Nobody likes to be on the losing end two nights in a row, but due to the competitive spirit and the youth of the team, this will only benefit the Dallas players as the season advances.
