Patrick Kane Is The Most Clutch Skater For The Chicago Blackhawks
The Chicago Blackhawks have had one roller coaster ride of a season thus far. They have been plauged with injuries, goalie concerns, as well as finding the just right combination of lineups out on the ice. But, overall, this season can be marked as one of success, as Chicago currently sits atop the Western Division standings and lead the league in the most goals scored on the season.
Obviously, there has been a great effort on the part of each and every player so far this season, but a look at the stats will reveal who is the most clutch player for the team at this point in time, and that player is Patrick Kane.
Kane has a party boy reputation during the offseason, and his relationship with captain Jonathan Toews is somewhat infamous in the media. Kane is only 25, has won his fair share of career accolades, and is still going full stream ahead. He has impressed so far this season, as he leads the team in goals scored, currently 17, and with 25 total assists on the season, he is a mere one assist short of Duncan Keith’s leading total of 26. Kaner is one seemingly unstoppable force at right-wing.
But if the stats are not enough to win the argument of why Kane is the Hawks’ best player right now, then just take a moment out of your day and watch the guy skate. His breakaway goal against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night was epic, to say the least.
Kane has immense puck handling skills and moves like lightening out on the ice. He is also a fairly strong defensive player, and is probably the best at taking advantage of scoring opportunities.
It is comforting for Hawks fans to know that they have a guy like Kaner on their side of the bench. He is the standout player for the Hawks and finds a way to deliver in one way or another, be it finding the back of the net to score a goal, or making a much needed assist.
Kane has a great and promising career ahead of him, and hopefully that career continues in a Blackhawks sweater. He has helped lead the team to two Stanley Cup titles in the past four seasons, and is shaping up to do the same again this season. We can all continue to expect to be amazed and thrilled by Kane for many more years to come.
