Anaheim Ducks' Home Start is Remarkable

Opponents playing the Anaheim Ducks at Honda Center have had the unfortunate event of being a part of history so far.

With the Ducks 3-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers, the team remains yet again to lose in regulation at home, with a remarkable 13-0-2 start. 15 games at home without losing in the 60 minutes it takes in a hockey game is simply amazing. At this point, teams going to Orange County to play the Ducks are not looking forward to playing there. The only teams to have success in Anaheim are the New Jersey Devils and Los Angeles Kings, but it took them more than 60 minutes to steal one there.

The start at home by the Ducks can set the tone for the season and can even give the team confidence going on the road. With the win, the Ducks have assured that they will go into Christmas without a regulation loss. They will be on the road up until December 28, which is a long time for a team but can reveal the team’s momentum from their red-hot start at home.

But what I find remarkable about the start at home for the Ducks is that they always find a way to come out on top, minus the two overtime/shootout losses, and find various ways to either have the visiting team fans leaving the arena early or have all the fans on the edge of their seats and coming out on top in an exciting, electrifying finish. This team is looking forward to chasing history and hope that by keeping up the start at home can scare the opponent right out of Anaheim and make all teams afraid to play a game in Orange County.
