Boston Bruins Prove Why They’re The Best Team In The NHL
The Boston Bruins were home tonight hosting the Chicago Blackhawks in what was sure to be a good test. Boston dismantled Chicago in every facet of the game and defeated them 3-0 to improve to 50-17-6.
Chicago was without Patrick Kane as he’s been out with a lower body injury. The Blackhawks are missing their catalyst right now and without him, they definitely aren’t the same team. They were still able to get some quality shots on goal, but Tuukka Rask was simply phenomenal as he’s been all season. Rask saved all 28 shots the Blackhawks had to offer tonight.
The Bruins are the first team in the league to reach 50 wins and with nine games left in the season, they’re close to clinching the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Patrice Bergeron scored two goals, making it five consecutive games with a goal. He’s heating up at the right time, and the Bruins need him to score when Brad Marchand isn’t. Marchand has only scored two goals in his last 15 games, but Boston has still managed to win the majority of those games.
Between outstanding goal tending by Rask, scoring from all different places on the ice and strong defensive play, the Bruins are the best team in the NHL, and it doesn’t look like there’s a team that’s going to stop them from winning the Stanley Cup this season.
