When the Buffalo Sabres parted ways with Thomas Vanek and Ryan Miller this past season, they made one thing very clear: they're starting over. The Sabres may very well have the most interesting offseason scenario out of all of the NHL's teams this year. With plenty of money to spend, Buffalo just has to worry about if these five players would even consider signing. With needs at every position, the Sabres will have plenty to choose from.

Cody Franson is a young kid who would fit right in with Buffalo's plans to start over. At 26 years old, he would bring plenty of talent at a cheap cost. This past season, Franson finished second in the NHL for hits and had 33 points.

Michael Frolik is another kid who is young and only getting better, but at the same time, wouldn't carry too steep a price. In 81 games this past season, he had 15 goals and 27 assists.

Moulson is the perfect fit for the Sabres. This season, he had 23 goals, the first season in which he didn't score at least 30. But at just 30 years old, he still has plenty to bring to the table. His leadership skills would be a plus as well. He has played on playoff teams each of the last two seasons. With big-name talent, Buffalo might be able to get a bargain.

Buffalo needs a goalie. Plain and simple. The Sabres had high hopes for Jhonas Enroth, but it's time to derail that train. Jaroslav is on the younger side and wouldn't cost them a fortune. He does bring a slight risk of overpayment though.

Look, the Colorado Avalanche would probably never want to let this kid go, hence why they'll do anything in their power to keep him there. At the end of the day however, money talks. Buffalo has that money.
