Michal Handzus has helped the Blackhawks in numerous ways, but with his age being 37, the Blackhawks should look look at younger players to fill his role. Younger talent up front, especially at center, will help the team reach their goals of another Stanley Cup.

Teuvo Teravainen came to the Chicago Blackhawks via the 2012 NHL Draft (18th overall). At 19 years old, this kid has tremendous potential; the Blackhawks called him up late in the season after Patrick Kane went down with an injury. Expect Teravainen to see more ice time with the Hawks.

Patrick Kane had one of his best seasons, maturing immensely. Being arguably the Blackhawks' MVP this season, Kane did not have a steady line, bouncing between centers and wing partners. If he can consistently get chemistry with a line, watch out, NHL.

This is where the Blackhawks struggled the most. They were unable to pinpoint one person who took the reins of the second line center role. Handzus played well at times, but with his age, it is hard to keep up with the likes of Kane and the young talent the Blackhawks posses. If they can find the right guy, the Blackhawks will be in great shape to get back to the Stanley Cup Final.
