The Dallas Stars have a bright future ahead of them so long as they continue to build around their young superstars. They are loaded with young talent, and the 2014 season was just a taste of what they could possibly become. Their performance in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs is great experience, and it should only help their progression as a team. Here are the five players the Stars should build around.

The 24-year-old Frenchman is a pest, but he is a talented pest. He isn't afraid to mix it up when his name is called, and every team needs a player like him. Roussel also has some slick mits as well. He scored 14 goals to go along with his team-leading 209 penalty minutes.

Alex Goligoski was the Dallas Stars' best defenseman in 2014, and he needs to be the player the Stars build around on their back line. He is a rock back there, having logged an average of 24 minutes per game last season. He also scored six goals and added 36 assists, which for a defenseman is outstanding.

Valeri Nichushkin has the potential to be star in this league. He was drafted in 2013, and he transitioned rather easily to the NHL game. He is a big, young power forward who has the potential to grow into a matchup nightmare on the wing.

The 24-year-old is the captain of the Dallas Stars, and at points in 2014 he carried the team on his back. He finished second on the team in points with 79, and he continues to prove himself as the one of the game's most effective goal-scorers and playmakers.

Tyler Seguin is a budding superstar. At only 22 years old, he led the Stars in goals, assists and points. I still think the Boston Bruins were crazy for letting him go because he has all the talent in the world, but he may never have had the freedom he does with Dallas. If the Stars organization surrounds Seguin with the correct roster, the Stanley Cup could be headed back to Dallas sometime soon.
