Dustin Brown may be one of the more disliked players in the NHL because of his history of questionable hits, but there’s no denying that he’s one of the best leaders in his era and has been a pivotal part of the Los Angeles Kings bringing home two Stanley Cups in three years.
The Kings’ success has been mainly attributed to the play of goaltender Jonathan Quick and the offensive abilities of Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams, but Brown is the type of player who never takes a shift off and leads his teammates by example.
He’s a guy who takes his job and his role in Los Angeles very seriously; however, he also showed via Twitter that he has a sense of humor.
Brown received a package from a FedEx delivery man who may still be a little bit salty about how last year’s Stanley Cup Finals turned out. Here’s the tweet from Brown’s account:

As you may know, Brown is from Ithaca, N.Y., so it probably isn’t a rarity for him to have face-to-face interaction with New York Rangers fans when he’s back home.
Earlier this month, Brown brought the Stanley Cup home to Ithaca for the second time (anyone could pay $5, which all went to different charitable causes, to get their picture taken with the greatest trophy in sports), so it must be frustrating for Rangers fans to watch a hometown guy bring home a championship donning a different sweater more than once.
Brown may have grown up a Rangers fan, but I don’t think there’s any doubt that his heart is now with Los Angeles. Maybe next year, New York. Maybe next year.
