The Anaheim Ducks have won the Pacific Division in consecutive seasons now, but they haven't found the X-factor to push them into the hunt for the Stanley Cup. The Ducks have made some big moves in the offseason, and here are five questions that must be answered before the season starts in October.

Cam Fowler has solidified his spot as the best blueliner in Anaheim, but the other five spots are up for grabs. Stoner has only had 15 points over the last two seasons, but considering the Ducks signed him to a four-year, $13 million contract, they must see something special in the 6-foot-3 defenseman. Stoner is the fifth-highest paid defenseman on the roster, so it'll be interesting to see where he ends up in the lineup.

Dany Heatley may be a former two-time 100-point getter in the NHL, but he hasn't shied away from controversy. In 2003, Heatley crashed his Ferrari 360 Modena with his then-Thrashers teammate Dan Snyder in the passenger seat. Snyder died from his sustained injuries, and Heatley was charged with vehicular manslaughter. The incident may be over a decade old, but hopefully Heatley's behavior is safer out in California.

John Gibson was only 20 years old when he replaced Jonas Hiller in the playoffs last season, which is a lot of pressure to put on the Pittsburgh, Pa. native. As next season begins to roll around, it's going to be worth noting how much trust is put in Gibson's ability to lead the Ducks between the pipes.

One of the best to lace up the skates in the modern era called it a career at the end of last season, and the question entering next year will be whether or not his locker room presence can be replaced. Teemu Selanne was one of the most respected players in the NHL, and while he may be irreplaceable, someone will need to stand up and take charge.

The biggest move the Anaheim Ducks made in the offseason was trading for Ryan Kesler to give them some needed depth down the middle of the ice, but who will he play with? Kesler will likely center the second line, which opens up the possibility to play between Jakob Silfverberg or Dany Heatley on the right, with Patrick Maroon or Kyle Palmieri the two likely candidates on the left.
