The New Jersey Devils missed the playoffs by a small margin in 2013-14. That made every game mean that much more. Despite that, there were still games that stood out. Some because of rivalries, others because of the scarcity of the matchup. The same will apply in the most must-see games of 2014-15. These five games are must watch for all hockey fans.

Opening night against their rivals down route 95, what more can you ask for? The Philadelphia Flyers and the Devils have one of the most hated rivalries in the NHL. It is what happens when teams play this close to each other. Expect the Wells Fargo Center to raucous to ring in the new hockey year.

I understand this is two games, but this home and home series needs to be on this list. The Devils and Rangers may surpass the rivalry with the Flyers as the most hated. It killed all Devils fans to see the Rangers fighting for their first Stanley Cup in 20 years. With this series going on so late into the season, this could make or break one of these team's entire year.

It still stings to see the LA Kings lift another Stanley Cup after they beat the Devils in six games two years prior. They waited two years for a rematch, thanks to the Lockout. With the Kings once again defending champs, the Devils will look to use them as their personal measuring stick.

The sight of Zach Parise still stings for all Devils fans. He will continuously get booed every time he touches the puck in the Prudential Center. That makes this the most must-see game of the year -- besides one possible game.

Whether it is because he signs with another team who comes into town, he decides to announce he is hanging up the skates or (God forbid, but a slim possibility) a major injury forces Lou Lamoriello to look his way, it will be a must-see moment to have Martin Brodeur in New Jersey once again. Mark your calendar folks, because there will be grown men shedding tears on that night.
