The reigning champions come to town on December 9, and it will be a great measuring stick for the young Sabres. It also doesn’t hurt that head coach Ted Nolan’s son, Jordan, is a forward for the Kings. It's a true twist on the classic father-son game.

It’ll be a matchup of the top two picks in the 2014 NHL Draft when the Sabres head to South Florida on December 6 as Sabres center Sam Reinhart and Panthers defenseman Aaron Ekblad will face off. The Bruins and Sabres have a bit of a rivalry as evidenced in Milan Lucic’s hit on former Sabre Ryan Miller in 2011 and the scrap-filled games the teams played in 2013. Boston comes to town on October 18, and the Sabres will view the matchup as a measuring stick against one of the elite teams in the NHL.

The Hawks come to town on April 3 and will be led by superstar/Buffalo native Patrick Kane. While Kane has had “issues” in his hometown in the past, seeing the hometown kid come home is always a great story. The former Sabres season ticket holder will surely put on an amazing display of skill as he does seemingly every time he touches the ice.

One of the greatest players in the history of the franchise in Ryan Miller returns to town for the first time as a visitor on February 26, and an emotional night is in store. Look for the home team to honor Miller before bringing their best against the former U.S. Olympian to show they’re not dead in the water without him.
