Prior to 1961, there wasn’t a single Blackhawks player who was team captain for more than three years. On this list, longevity as captain is one of the most important qualifiers. With honorable mentions to Chris Chelios and Stan Mikita, here are the top five captains in the franchise’s history.

He won the Conn Smythe Trophy in 2010 and the Selke Trophy in 2013. The center has made six All-Star teams and has 473 total points in just over seven seasons in the NHL.
