The Blues have never had friendly relations with any team to play out of the Twin Cities. The Blues and Northstars met nine times in the postseason from 1968-1991, which were basically wars with tons of hits, fights, and great defensive hockey. After the Northstars departed for Dallas, they were replaced by the Minnesota Wild in 2000, who just recently eliminated the Blues from the 2015 playoffs.

The Vancouver Canucks are a very unlikeable team. The green men, the diving, the lack of hitting, the biting, the torching of their own city every time they lose in the finals and the list goes on. The Canucks have eliminated the Blues from the postseason in 1995 (4-3), 2003 (4-3) and 2009 (4-0). Neither of these teams have been able to capture their franchise's first championship, but the Canucks have had the upper hand on the Blues.

The Kings have won two Cups in the last four years. While doing so, they seem to have made the Blues their annual tuneup round, sweeping the Blues in the 2012 Western Conference semi-finals, and coming back from a 2-0 series deficit in the opening round of 2013. It's also hard to forget Stu Grimson's one-punch KO of Reid Simpson in 2000. It is very hard to like a team that dominates you with their fists in the postseason.

While the rivalry has died down in recent years due to the Red Wings moving to the Eastern Conference, the pain from Steve Yzerman's 1996 Game 7 double-overtime goal to eliminate the Blues is still felt to this day. The Yzerman-goal was the beginning of a three-year postseason domination by the 'Wings over the Blues, as Detroit would prevail again over St. Louis in 1997 and 1998 en route to capturing two Stanley Cups ('96 and '98).

The 'Hawks are everything that the Blues are not in terms of postseason success, and their fans them know it every time they come down and fill half of Scottrade Center. Whether its Hull vs. Roenick, or Toews vs. Backes, the rivalry has always been fierce. Duncan Keith's "wakey wakey Backes" taunting when the Blues' captain was knocked unconscious by a Brent Seabrook hit was about as hateable as it gets.
