The Vancouver Canucks flew under the radar last season, despite big offseason acquisitions in Radim Vrbata and Ryan Miller. The organization fell off with the way it handled much of the last five years. It seems they are back on the rails and ready to compete this season. There are some major questions that need to be answered before that happens, though.

Henrik and Daniel Sedin once again led the Canucks in points with 76 and 73 points, respectively. They are still elite players, despite being 35 years old. When will they fall off? Will they ever fall off? Are they the twin versions of Jaromir Jagr?

The Canucks had the second-best penalty kill in the league last season, only allowing power play goals 14.3 percent of the time. This seems to be a stat that fluctuates from year to year. Jared McCann, the Canucks' first-round pick last year, is making some serious strides this preseason. He is who everyone is talking about. The Canucks were so high on Bo Horvat that they traded Cory Schneider straight up for the right to draft him. They might have won the trade, despite how well Schneider is doing in New Jersey. Horvat is quickly becoming the Canucks' most popular player. Despite obstacles (Brandon Sutter), he was able to force his way higher on the depth chart. He might be ready to break out at 20 years old.

From game to game, it seems almost impossible to figure out what Ryan Miller will give you. He can pitch a shutout for three straight games, then give up 10 goals in two games. Despite his age, he is still worthy of being this team's starting goalie, but they may also want to think of the future. Also, Jakob Markstrom may force the Canucks to make a hard decision if Miller struggles.
