The Vancouver Canucks were projected to be bad this season after a string of successful campaigns. If you look at their roster today, opinions will probably change and they are giving the Canucks' fanbase mixed signals. They are beginning a rebuild this fall. However, after winning three of their first four games, could the rebuild be put on hold? Fans will have constant opinions on the future direction of this hockey club.

This summer, the Montreal Canadiens and the Vancouver Canucks consummated a trade involving two forwards. The Canucks traded Kassian, who has yet to play a game for Montreal after being involved in a car accident. They are always a scoring threat on a nightly basis for the hockey club. At the age of 35 now, their quality of play is beginning to decline. However, it can't be taken for granted that they won't find the back of the net often.

If you have followed any of the most recent playoff appearances of the Canucks, it is obvious that the Los Angeles Kings, Calgary Flames and Anaheim Ducks give their organization the biggest fits during each spring. Well, the Canucks have beaten each of them just four games into the season and have shown that they are capable of beating these teams.

The team is slowly transitioning into a rebuilding hockey club. The Canucks do have some youthful players who will be the future of the organization. Bo Horvat, age 20, is improving and is a future bright spot for the team. Jannik Hansen has had some playing time with the Sedin twins. Brandon Sutter, age 26, appears to be showing early signs of worth after an offseason trade from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Miller's career started with the Buffalo Sabres. He was then with the St. Louis Blues before signing with the Vancouver Canucks a year ago. Miller has won three of the first four games for the Canucks and is showing the rest of the league that he can still succeed as an NHL goaltender. He currently has a goals against average of 1.21, and the Canucks should be taken seriously.
