5 Players the Calgary Flames Should Trade Right Now By Will Billinghurst PREV NEXT 5 Players the Calgary Flames Should Trade Right Now Getty Images The early part of the 2015-16 NHL season has been a disappointment for the Calgary Flames after making the playoffs last season. It's obvious that the Flames need to make changes to turn the season around which involves parting ways with players who are underperforming. Here are five players the Flames should consider trading right now. 5. Mason Raymond Getty Images 5. Mason Raymond Getty Images During Mason Raymond's time with Calgary, he's been unable to repeat the success of the 2013-14 season with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Raymond only has two points in 10 games so far this season, and it seems unlikely that his production will pick up. Calgary should trade Raymond now to get the best return. 4. Matt Stajan Getty Images 4. Matt Stajan Getty Images Matt Stajan is another player who has been unable to repeat the success he had with the Toronto Maple Leafs. It also doesn't help that he is often injured. With only four points in 20 games, it's time for Calgary move on from Stajan. 3. Joni Ortio Getty Images 3. Joni Ortio Getty Images Joni Ortio hasn't been able to play at the NHL level and it's obvious after playing four games with Calgary this season. Ortio is arguably the worst of Calgary's three goalies with a terrible 4.27 GAA. If the Flames can trade Ortio, then they should take whatever they can get for him. 2. Jonas Hiller Getty Images 2. Jonas Hiller Getty Images Calgary's goaltending has been bad regardless of which goalie is playing, so there needs to be a change in net. Hiller would get the most return out of their three goalies even though he is underperforming with a 3.67 GAA. Calgary needs to make this trade now in order to get a fair return. 1. Jiri Hudler Getty Images 1. Jiri Hudler Getty Images Jiri Hudler is arguably the best player Calgary has after putting up 76 points in 78 games last season, but it seems unlikely that he will be able to repeat his production of last season. Hudler is third in scoring with 13 points in 20 games this season. The Flames need to trade him soon while his production from last season is still fresh in the minds of teams in order to get a big return that will give them immediate help.
