Hockey returned to Winnipeg for the first time since losing the original Winnipeg Jets to the state of Arizona, following the 1995-96 season. The NHL returned to Manitoba's capital prior to the start of the 2011-12 campaign after the relocation of the Atlanta Thrashers to Canada. The Jets franchise has been struggling during the early portions of the 2015-16 campaign, and the following five men should be dealt.

The goaltending has been inconsistent in Winnipeg, since the return to Canada. This season, Hutchinson started in eight contests and one in relief of goaltender Ondrej Pavelec. Hutchinson's record is 4-3-1 and has given up 20 goals thus far this season and the goaltending needs to improve from both the starting goalie and backup goalie.

Pavelec has been a fixture with the Jets organization since the 2007-08 season with the expansion Atlanta Thrashers franchise. Pavelec was a member of the relocating Thrasher team that moved to Winnipeg. This season he has started a dozen games and has allowed 36 goals in 14 games. The Jets need a qualified veteran netminder to cut down on the goals against.

Stafford was dealt to the Jets' last fall from the Buffalo Sabres in the Evander Kane trade. Assuming Winnipeg can't find their way out of the basement of the Western Conference, Stafford could be a great man for a playoff bound team. He currently has ten points in 20 games this season and has some great value.

There have been some rumors already involving Trouba and a possible link to the New York Islanders for their defenseman Travis Hamonic. He may or may not be a member of the Islanders in the near future, but it appears that Winnipeg is willing to entertain dealing him.

Just like Drew Stafford, Byfuglien is also being talked about in various trade rumors before the February 29 NHL Trade Deadline. He has been a member of the Chicago Blackhawks' winning team and has been a valuable asset to the Jets' core. He is a great man to consider dealing for some fresh talent.
