The Chicago Blackhawks are continually the best team in the NHL and are always aiming to win the Stanley Cup, which means every player needs to be contributing every game. But not every player is playing to the standard that Chicago expects. Here are five players Chicago needs to trade before the Trade Deadline in order to have a good shot at winning the Stanley Cup.

Chicago signed Viktor Tikhonov during the offseason because of the numbers he put up while playing in the KHL, but he just isn't fitting in with Chicago. In 11 games this season Tikhonov has no points and that just isn't good enough. Tikhonov needs to be traded now.

Andrew Desjardins has been a disappointing addition to Chicago with no points in 18 games this season and his highest point total in a season is just 17 points. Chicago needs to trade Desjardins and give one of their AHL players a chance at the NHL instead.

Marcus Kruger has been a serviceable bottom-six center for Chicago, but has been disappointing so far this season. In 21 games Kruger has just one point, which should show Chicago that they need to trade him. His contract is also up at the end of the season so it would be best for Chicago to trade Kruger before the Trade Deadline and at least get something in return.

Marian Hossa is an amazing player, but he is finally starting to show his age with only nine points in 18 games this season. His point production totals have been declining for the last few seasons and at 36 years old he isn't getting any younger. Hossa also has a contract that lasts until the 2020-21 season and by then he will be 41 years old. Chicago needs to trade Hossa now while he still has value, which should give them a good return.

Chicago has been actively trying to trade Bryan Bickell since the offseason and there haven't been any takers. He has two years left on a contract of $4 million a year and is currently in the minors to help keep Chicago under the cap ceiling. In seven games this season Bickell had zero points, which doesn't help to entice other teams to trade for him. Chicago won't get much if they trade Bickell, but they should take any deal that's offered.
