The Dallas Stars are staring down at the rest of the league after an extremely hot start. Some would say they shouldn't make a trade, which could hurt the team chemistry. The counterargument is that other teams will get better from now until the trade deadline, so the Stars should look to do the same. Here are five players they should look to move.

Travis Moen has been in and out of the lineup all season long. The Stars are paying him close to million per season, but he isn't seeing the ice at all. If they aren't going to use him, they might as well sell him off for parts.

4. Patrick Nemeth

The Stars were just forced to send Patrick Nemeth to a two-week conditioning assignment because they have an overload of defensive talent. Imagine if they had this problem last season. Nemeth has been the odd man out all year. The Stars should send him somewhere he can get playing time, and bring in another solid piece.

Stephen Johns is best known for being the other player in the Patrick Sharp deal. He is a very good defenseman, and could be NHL ready. He could be used to bring a good player to help with the stretch run.

Ales Hemsky never seemed to find his rhythm while in Dallas. He always seemed out of place. He is a skilled player who could bring some assets in return.

Kari Lehtonen has been extremely good this season. He is stopping 92 percent of his shots and only has one loss on his record. Unfortunately, he is very injury prone, and it seems it is only a matter of time before he could be out again. They have Antti Niemi to hold down the fort, so they can afford to see if they can sell high on Lehtonen.
