The Toronto Maple Leafs really want to secure one of the Eastern Conference’s final NHL playoff spots, as evidenced by their offensive explosion against the Buffalo Sabres on Monday night.

The Maple Leafs stunned the Sabres with three goals in 43 seconds during the first period, chasing Buffalo goalie Robin Lehner out of the game.

Leo Komarov, Auston Matthews, and James van Riemsdyk were responsible for putting Toronto on the board, and the Maple Leafs hold a 3-1 lead in the third period as we speak.
