Anaheim Ducks Miraculously Score Three Goals In Final 181 Seconds To Tie Game — Defeat Edmonton Oilers In Double OT

By Timothy Downs

The Anaheim Ducks miraculously managed to mount a sensational comeback to force overtime against the Edmonton Oilers on Friday night.

Down 0-3 with 3:16 left in the third, captain Ryan Getzlaf sparked an offensive explosion with a tremendous goal.

Next, Ducks defender Cam Fowler beat Oilers goalie Cam Talbot to cut the deficit to one.

As time ticked down in the final minute, it appeared as if the first two goals would be meaningless. Then, with just 15 seconds remaining, center Rickard Rakell evened things up amid mass chaos in front of Edmonton’s net.

Neither team scored during an anxiety-laden first overtime. Then, after right around seven minutes of scoreless play in the second overtime, Corey Perry scored a phenomenal game-winner to the delight of the Honda Center faithful, who went absolutely insane.

Anaheim now leads the series 3-2, and will have a chance to close things out during Game 6 in Edmonton on Saturday.

What. A. Game.
