Canada and the Czech Republic faced off at the world championship on Friday with the Canadians skating to a 4-1 victory.
While it’s no surprise that the Canadians emerged victorious, there was an incident during the game that did leave some people shaking their heads.
Czech Republic defenseman Rudko Gudas clocked center/winger Claude Giroux right in the face.
It was surprising because the two are teammates with the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers.
Radko Gudas just punched his #Flyers teammate Claude Giroux. That was odd. #IIHFWorlds pic.twitter.com/NOm0jcdRTI
