Andre Burakovsky Scores Pair of Pretty Goals to Help Capitals Force Game 7 vs. Penguins

By Anthony Blake

From the opening puck drop, Game 6 of the Washington Capitals vs. Pittsburgh Penguins series was all one-sided.

And one of the biggest reasons why that remained the case for a full 60 minutes was the stellar play of Andre Burakovsky.

This goal: All @andreburakovsky. This game: All @capitals. #StanleyCup

This individual effort beat Pens goalie Marc-Andre Fleury short side on a save he really should have made.

It may have contributed to his relative give-up on the fifth goal of the night for the Caps where Burakovsky just rocked Fleury to sleep.

The fifth and final goal for the @capitals tonight and it was a beauty. #Game7 will be a thing. #StanleyCup

The Pens are only playing Fleury because their top goaltender, Matt Murray, has been out with an injury all postseason long.

And if the backup-turned-starter can’t get his act together in Game 7, the Penguins’ stay in the Stanley Cup Playoffs will only last another 60 minutes on the ice.
