Nashville Predators Improbably Reach Stanley Cup Finals on Colton Sissions Hat Trick

It’s been a long time in the making – 18 years to be exact – but the Nashville Predators have finally reached the Stanley Cup Finals after a 6-3 win in Game 6 over the Anaheim Ducks.

Their season filled with firsts has yet another achievement to point to after the improbable hero, Colton Sissions, netted a hat trick to cement the victory.

This feisty No. 8 seed out west just wouldn’t take no for an answer in any series thus far, and they’ve overcome steep odds as well as injuries to get there.

But despite Ryan Johansen requiring untimely emergency surgery, the Preds still reached one half of their ultimate goal on Monday night – and they were prepared to celebrate.

This fun ride will continue into June for a team that not many could have foreseen going this far.
