Connor McDavid Sweeps Awards Night & Becomes NHL 18 Cover Athlete

By Anthony Blake

The Edmonton Oilers had success for the first time in a decade this past season, and much of that was due to the stellar play of Connor McDavid.

And the NHL recognized the 20-year-old’s excellence at its annual awards, as McDavid topped Pittsburgh Penguins all-world player Sidney Crosby to totally sweep awards night.

First, it was the Ted Lindsay Award.

Then, the Hart Trophy.

And after that his likeness graced the cover of the NHL 18 video game.

But as everyone knows about McDavid, it’s his perspective that makes him a near sure bet to be one of the greatest ever, as he later showed with his comments about Crosby.

No doubt this kid still has plenty of winning left to do.
