None of the names out on the ice in Buffalo will be recognizable to hockey fans, but their contributions to funding cancer research will be immense.
The 11 Day Power Play has a little over $1 million in pledges, and that seems like a small amount for playing 251 consecutive hours – yes, in a row!

The game that began on June 22 will finish on July 3 and features players playing in four-hour shifts, with rotating linesmen and officials on hand as well.
This will break the previous Guinness World Record mark of 250 hours, 3 minutes, 20 seconds set during an outdoor game in Alberta in 2015.
Here’s to hoping these brave individuals reach the finish line!
