After the surprising news about the passing of Al Davis, the Oakland Raiders clinched an emotional win on Sunday against the Houston Texans after Michael Huff intercepted Matt Schaub in the end zone on the final play of the game. While it was already an impressive win for the Raiders to begin with on the road, it was their accidental mistake at the end of the game that made this win even more special.

Doug Farrar of Yahoo! Sports provided a screenshot of both teams lining up for the final play of the game on Sunday–with the Raiders only having 10 players on the field. At first, many wondered if Oakland purposely had 10 men on the field as a tribute to Davis–but they insist that was not the case.

Either way, the important factor here is the Raiders still won the game without having all of their players on the field at the end of the game–which makes the win that much more sweet.

  1. Ty says:

I keep seeing this story, but it’s in fact wrong. If you watch the play all the way through you will notice that #34 Mike Mitchel runs into screen from the right side after the interception. The reason It looks like there’s only 10 pre-snap is because the he’s in the right corner of the endzone and the camera angle cuts him off..

  2. raidahlovah says:

Pretty sure we all know who the eleventh player was.
