Jerry Sandusky’s rambling pre-trial hearing statement
Former Penn State football coach Jerry Sandusky has passed the point of no return.
No matter what he may have to say at this point, he has already lost in the court of public opinion. It’s hard to believe that the actual trial regarding the abuse allegations levied against him is anything more than a formality.
After today’s pre-trial proceedings in Pennsylvania, Sandusky made a brief statement about the purpose of the pre-trial proceedings, his damaged relationships, his wife and grandkids, and how he can no longer give biscuits to his dog on his deck.
Needless to say, things went off the rails in a rapid manner.
Who in the world knows why his lawyers continue to parade him in front of the press and a public that has tried him before the trial ever finishes?
It seems to me the best course of action would be to keep him out of the limelight as much as possible and let things run their own course.
No one’s asking me though, I’m no lawyer, but common sense just does not seem to prevail among those surrounding the disgraced former Penn State football coach.
