Howard Smith - US PRESSWIRE

I think all of Philadelphia was pleased yesterday afternoon when the Eagles traded running back Ronnie Brown to the Detroit Lions just seconds before the trade deadline (plus the trade brought back Jerome Harrison and added a seventh round draft pick in 2013).

But today the Eagles announced that the trade has been voided because Harrison failed a physical with the Eagles.

This means that Brown will stay with the Eagles and Harrison will stay with the Lions.

And I will stay unhappy.

The Eagles use LeSean McCoy more than any other NFL team uses its starting running back so it really shouldn’t matter too much. I think the Eagles will split the remaining carries relatively equally between Brown and Dion Lewis.
