As I scroll through the Philadelphia Flyers official fan page all I seem to find is hatred for Jaromir Jagr about how he is not any good and hasn’t scored any goals.

While Jagr has not tallied a goal so far he has four assists and is tied with James van Riesmdyk and Matt Carle for third on the team with four-points. I don’t know about anyone else but as long as you are getting points that means you contributed to a goal; which is just as good. Jagr is also paired with Claude Giroux and they have been clicking on all cylinders, which has led to the tandem having three goals together.
Another criticism is that Jagr gets the puck and does nothing with it; he is just a puck hog. That is just flat out ludicrous as Jagr is tied for third on the team with shots, so he isn’t just going out there and doing nothing.
If anyone deserves criticism from the Philly faithful it is someone I have always been critical of Scott Hartnell, he has two-points on the year so far and only has three shots-on-goal. His only saving grace from the rabid Philly fans was the 2010 playoffs when he started scoring after having a very lackluster regular season.
Sometimes I think it is hard to accept old rivals into the fold, especially one who was always a thorn in your side. I think Max Talbot would be somewhat in the same boat had Jagr not signed. I don’t think it would have been as bad but he still would have received some hatred. I think people need to just enjoy that Jagr is a Flyer and not a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, and just enjoy watching a hall of famer play.
