Howard Smith - US PRESSWIRE
The Philadelphia Phillies head to New York to play the Mets in a three-game series. Fresh off of six consecutive losses, the Phillies need to win four of their final six games in order to set the franchise record with 102 wins.
The Phillies will be sending out Cole Hamels (14-9, 2.80 ERA) to the mound tomorrow to play R.A. Dickey (8-13, 3.35). On Saturday, the Phillies haven’t announced their starting pitcher yet, although since Roy Halladay is pitching Sunday, the Phillies will likely have to go with a Triple-A call-up. In Sunday’s game, Halladay will be making his final regular-season start in his quest for the Cy Young award. Halladay is 18-6 with a 2.41 ERA, and he will oppose Mike Pelfrey (7-12, 4.58).
