Penguins Re-Sign Vitale

The Pittsburgh Penguins just announced that they’ve resigned forward Joe Vitale to a two-year contract extension worth $550,000 / season. He is now signed with the Penguins through the 2013-14 season.
Vitale has stepped-up his game this season with a more agressive-style of play, so this contract extension is a great move for both the organization and the player. He appears to be a good fit for the Penguins and adds that little bit of grit they are in need of right now; and it comes at a pretty reasonable price as well.
