FACE OFF IS SET FOR 7:00 PM (EST)
CONSOL DOORS OPEN AT 5:45 PM
as reported earlier, the Penguins recalled forward Eric Tangradi and goalie Brad Thiessen from WBS; although it’s not certain where Tangradi will be placed in the lineup tonight against the NY Rangers it appears likely to be on the 4th line with Park and Adams after this morning’s skate; Thiessen will be backing up Fleury this evening as Johnson is not feeling well according to today’s Penguins Report:
“Brent Johnson is not feeling well,” Bylsma said. “We called up Brad Thiessen to backup tonight. It will be on a short-term basis.”
BROOKS ORPIK
Orpik did not participate in practice yesterday or earlier this morning and it was announced earlier today by Dan Bylsma that he would not be in tonight’s lineup against New York; he will be replaced by Ben Lovejoy and according to Bylsma in the Penguins Report:
“Brooks Orpik is not going to play tonight with an upper-body injury. The rest of the lineup will be game time. … At this time we think it’s a short term (injury). It doesn’t seem to be a huge problem.”
