  • Pittsburgh Penguins Marc-Andre Fleury made 17 saves against the Boston Bruins for his 16th career shutout

  • the Penguins’ 4-3 shootout victory over Ottawa gave them 92 points for the season (a 34-point improvement over their 58-point finish of last season) the improvement was the biggest single-season jump in team history, surpassing the 32-point improvement of the 1992-93 Penguins

  • Martin Straka scored his 500th NHL point with a goal against the Detroit Red Wings
