In game 30 of the 2012 season, the Pittsburgh Pirates (13-16) host the Washington Nationals (18-11) for the second game of the teams’ series. The starting pitching match-up will feature Erik Bedard (2-4, 2.65) against Ross Detwiler (3-1, 1.59).

Bedard struck out 11 batters in five innings last time out and has 20 total whiffs in his last 10 innings. He’s also finally getting some run support from the Pirates offense, as he’s won his last two games after dropping his first four despite not having given up more than two runs in an outing thus far.

Here’s the rest of the Pirates’ lineup for tonight:

1. Jose Tabata, RF

2. Neil Walker, 2B

3. Andrew McCutchen, CF

4. Pedro Alvarez, 3B

5. Casey McGehee, 1B

6. Yamaico Navarro, LF

7. Rod Barajas, C

8. Josh Harrison, SS

Washington will look like this:

1. Ian Desmond, SS

2. Bryce Harper, CF

3. Ryan Zimmerman, 3B

4. Adam LaRoche, 1B

5. Xavier Nady, RF

6. Danny Espinosa, 2B

7. Tyler Moore, LF

8. Wilson Ramos, C

The Bucs won in dramatic fashion last night, thanks to a nice outing from A.J. Burnett and a walk-off home run from Barajas.

The team has rotated wins and losses over the six games, but a victory tonight would win the series for Pittsburgh – a notable feat against the NL East leaders.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.

Let’s Go Bucs.
