An interesting week of games with North Boone looking to improve to 6-0 for the season….
Burlington Central (4-1, 3-0) at Marengo (1-4, 0-3): Ryan Ritchie threw three touchdown passes before getting hurt as the Rockets won 26-14 against Genoa-Kingston. Marengo was held to just over 135 total yards in a 10-6 loss to Harvard.
Harvard (2-3, 1-1) at North Boone (5-0, 2-0): Sammy Soliz scored the lone touchdown for the Hornets in a 10-6 win over Marengo to get their first BNC East win of the season. The Vikings stayed undefeated with a 35-7 win over Rockford Christian. Austin Baden had four touchdowns.
Rockford Christian (0-5, 0-3) at Richmond-Burton (3-2, 1-1): The Royal Lions managed just one touchdown in a 35-7 loss to North Boone. Adam Kinsella ran for nearly 120 yards as the Rockets beat Mendota 20-6 to break a two-game losing streak.
Genoa-Kingston (2-3) at Winnebago (4-1): Gabe Williams scored on a 71-yard run but it wasn’t enough as the Cogs lost 26-14 to Burlington Central. Winnebago racked up 61 points in a 61-26 win over Rock Falls. Fred Mosby had over 100 yards and two touchdowns for the Indians.
